Leaping boundaries: object oriented classifier recognition with leap and unity.
This investigates the gesture/hand recognition technology using ASL classifiers to create an interactive gaming experience. Our goal is to understand the parameters of LEAP Motion technology and the uses of hand controls to create different possibilities and to use specific handshapes for a more detailed experience. Looking ahead, we investigate those mechanisms to construct learning environments for sign language acquisition, learning, and use.

We investigate story world building in virtual reality environments using our developed storybook app assets, with Oculus VR, on the Unity engine. The purpose of this project is to examine 3D and spatial experiences of narratives; the embodiment of stories and characters. How do we define and construct our signing spaces in virtual reality?
