EXCITING NEW GRANT - DEVELOPING DEAF TALENT NATIONWIDE
Motion Light Lab is seeking to hire a graduate student to join our Train-the-Trainers (Deaf Talent project) team. We have been awarded a 3-year grant from Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation to train and support the next generation of trainers in storybook app creation. In this role and capacity, the GA will help coordinate project logistics and planning, support the development of training including ASL tutorial videos, and more.
We are looking for someone with an interest in ASL/English bilingual resources development and advancement. The objective of this grant is to expand the digital skills of our deaf youth through bilingual ASL/English storybook app development.
Please apply if you are: bilingual (or multilingual!), an effective communicator, a teamplayer, task and detail oriented; someone with passion and energy. (A love for children literature in ASL & English doesn’t hurt either!).
Digital skills knowledge/experience will be advantageous (such as proficiency in Adobe softwares, video editing, and the ability to manage website CMS). If you are a fast learner, excellent! In other words, we are looking for DIGITAL SAVVY folk.
If you are interested, please send your letter of interest (introduce yourself a bit), along with your resume/CV, and any relevant work samples/projects to firstname.lastname@example.org. Position is open until filled - ASAP.
